Set Apart Children's Ministry
"God, who set me apart from birth and called me by His grace"
Gal 1:1
The vision:
- To bring children to their salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ.
- To lead children in personal relationship with God.
- To build an active powerful praise and worship lifestyle in children.
- To teach children establish God's Word as the fondation for their decisions.
- To lead children into dynamic regular prayer life.
- To help children discover and use their spiritual gifts; develop and apply their skills and abilities in an effective, flourishing service for Jesus.
- To establish Christian faith view in children.
- To build spiritual champions - leaders of today.
The strategy:
- Lead the ministry according to God's will, pursue His plans, give Him glory.
- Realize that the ministry is what it is and it will be what it will be only by grace, mercy and love of God.
- Realize that the "fields are white for harvest", "the workers are few", but "His grace is sufficient" and "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
- Build real, dear relationships with children. Get to know the children personally.
- Coordination among church staff, lay leaders, teachers, parents.
- Encouragement for the teachers, the assistants and the helpers by having close relationships with them. Organizing retreats, training and personal meetings. Invite new volunteers also to be part of the ministry and work close with the youth. View the ministry not only as childrens ministry, do not limit it but also see it as a ministry to God's people to find their calling, spiritual gifts and to improve their skills. It is a ministry to reach the volunteer's heart.
- Support families as they invest in building faith in the children emotional, spiritual, material support, strategically equipping parents to help children develop spiritually. Close working relationship with parents: know the parents' goals and struggles.
- Teachings on parenting, complete information to the parents about all children's and family programs, family meetings, family activitiees, close family fellowship, parent prayer meetings.
