Prayer Ministry - Updates

REPORTS - What God is doign through God's people's prayers (NOV 2006)

It's very exciting to see what God is doing through God's people's prayers. The strong prayer coverage through the summer and into the fall played a part in seeing many new doors opening and a strong start to the fall semester. Despite the unseen spiritual opposition during Ramadan we rejoiced to see the opening of the TLC Vision Center and experience the blessings of the Cindy Jacobs conference. Intercessors met regularly during Ramadan to lift up these and many other matters and prayed faithfully for those hospitalized because of car accidents. Likewise prayer power was released as Pastor Jerry called the Church to fast and pray for 3 days prior to the Cindy Jacobs conference. The Thursday 4:30 pm Intercessory time has been well attended by a group of about 20 faithful intercessors of which almost half are men. It is very exciting to see men rise up to that place of prayer and intercession - ministry that women seem to do with more ease.

The October Overnight Prayer meeting was replaced by The Night of Power Prayer time on Tuesday Oct 16th, where we prayed for the nation and for God to establish 24x7 prayer and to establish a healing ministry. Pastor Jerry led the people on a prayer walk around the compound blowing the shofar and directing strategic prayer for the Church. Recent prayer focused on the Youth Retreat in early November and the Harvest Festival Nov 9th. Prayer has begun also for the upcoming Missions conference in December being planned by the Church Planting Committee.

Cindy Jacobs spoke about declaring our city a cancer free zone. I have begun declaring that for my home and I have heard many testimonies recently about Lord's healing power. God is at work in as many ways as we are able to pray - corporately, individually, strategically, spontaneously, in the Spirit, and with understanding. Tomorrow is different because we have prayed today.
