A few years back the Church switched terms from ‘Publicity Committee’ to ‘Publicity Ministry’ – a more appropriate term indeed. From the time of its inception it has been headed by people who have been committed to the ‘cause of Christ’ and faithful in their service to Him through the Church. It is manned by volunteers who are willing to go the extra mile. Amazingly God has brought in or raised up ordinary folks who had a heart to serve God and used the skills He had put into them to glorify His name through TLC - The Lighthouse Church, Kuwait (formerly ELC – the English Language Congregation of National Evangelical Church of Kuwait).

The Vision of this Ministry is to make known that The Lighthouse Church has been set as an oasis in the midst of a desert region, to give light in the midst of darkness.

The Mission of this Ministry is to provide the church and the community at large with information about the events and opportunities for involvement.

The Publicity Ministry undertakes the responsibility of designing and printing of souvenirs for special occasions and of publishing the church calendar.

The Publicity Ministry has two main arms through which it accomplishes its vision and mission:
The CONTACT magazine and
The TLC website: www.tlckuwait.com

The CONTACT is the official magazine of TLC and is published every month. It contains a great deal of information about the church and its various ministries. It also publishes testimonies, articles and poems which are encouraging and informative. The CONTACT aims at bringing people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and enables them to grow in the Lord. CONTACT is mailed to many countries and the response from people all over the world is always the same – a sense of awe at God’s work in the middle of a desert, that a church like TLC is growing, thriving and flourishing (abundance and multiplication is visible in every area) in a place like Kuwait in the Gulf Region. God’s amazing grace indeed!

We owe much to all those who initiated and built up this ministry especially Ajith Mendis, Elizabeth and Percy. At present it rests squarely on the shoulders of the present CONTACT Team:

TLC Website:
The purpose of the site is to give information about the church and introduce the various ministries, events and activities to its members and to the people around us.
The site also provides an opportunity for anyone to make a decision for Christ, present information on practical ways to live out the Christian life, and to encourage the spread of the Gospel.
Internet is a powerful medium for communication. Our vision is to go into all the corners of the world with the Gospel, and as we welcome you and project our warm, friendly, growing, vibrant, live Spirit-filled church we are praying and using cyber technology for web evangelism to reach out to people and nations.

We thank Pastor Steve Sheane, Maxim Castellino, Britto Arthur and others who began the good work with www.elconline.org from which evolved the present website and the new team is volunteering their God given gifts and time to develop and maintain www.tlckuwait.com.
