Prayer Ministry
The Lighthouse Prayer Ministry is made up of people who believe and understand that prayer is a privilege and an essential aspect of Christian living. Prayer is not just for a few select believers but is both the duty and the honor given to every believer. It is noticed in Scripture that the disciples asked the Lord to teach them to pray so we understand that there is a dimension to prayer that is learned. We therefore seek as students to learn about prayer from the Master. We hope many will grow in prayer and intimacy with the Lord Jesus as we learn to pray together.
The following Prayer events take place:
Weekly
Intercessory Prayer:
All are welcome to attend these meetings held from 4:30 to 6:30pm on Thursdays in the Manse. Throughout various times of the year we will have additional times of teaching followed by prayer.
Pre-Service Prayer:
All are welcome to join the prayer that takes place before every service in the designated prayer rooms but are expected to leave prior to the anointing of the Ministry Teams.
Monthly
Corporate Prayer:
Is a time when we all gather to pray for the needs of the Church and the nation(s). We are encouraged to come fasting. It begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Lighthouse on generally the 2nd Tuesday of the month. (Please check the website / bulletin for the exact date.)
Overnight Prayer:
All are welcome to join this event held on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 11:00 p.m. in the Lighthouse. We finish approximately 4:30 - 5:00 a.m. It is an extended time of prayer, worship and testimonies.
Prayer Tables
Prayer tables are positioned outside each service to disseminate prayer literature and information / teachings relevant to prayer.
Prayer Track
The Prayer Track is detailed either in the Prayer Manual or in the information available at the Prayer Table. It is designed to encourage believers to grow in the various dimensions of prayer, training them for service in the prayer ministry. Having completed the Prayer Track intercessors are recognized as "Prayer Force One Intercessors."
